Deric Gruen is the Co-Executive Director for Policy and Programs at Front and Centered, a Washington State climate and environmental justice coalition of communities of color. He also co-manages the People’s Economy Lab, a community economic development network in Seattle. Deric has served as a board member of the U.S. Sustainable Consumption Research and Action Initiative, as a Fellow at the Sightline Institute, and is an Alumni of the Transatlantic Emerging Leaders in Environmental and Energy Policy network (ELEEP). Previously, Deric was the Sustainability Director for Bellevue College where he founded a new department and led initiatives in curriculum development, climate, transportation and resource conservation, and student leadership. He received his MPA from the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington.
